AMFI presents six short fashion films written, directed, produced and filmed by students of the Fashion & Visual Culture programme. The films are inspired by young Dutch designers Tess van Zalinge, Brian Geradts, Poul Brouwer, Hedrikje Schimmel, Miriam de Waard, Jolka Wiens and MaryMe & JimmyPaul. The films premiered during Amsterdam Fashion Week at cinema Het Ketelhuis and are considered for viewing at several international film festivals.
The Double Room
You can mess with one, but don’t ever try to mess with two. This short fashion film is inspired by Tess van Zalinge.
Topsy & Turvy
In a world which is really topsy-turvy and truth is a moment of the false, the desire to find your soulmate is the only thing that makes you feel complete. This short fashion film is inspired by Hendrikje Schimmel and Poul Brouwer.
Becoming A Man
A boy, taking on the challenge of becoming a man. This short fashion film is inspired by Brian Geradts.
Fish Eats Man
As the water start taking over the land, the fishermen are no longer safe. This short fashion film is inspired by Miriam de Waard.
Rules of the Game
When the boundaries of reality start to blur, the only way to win is not to play. This short fashion film is inspired by Jolka Wiens.
Femme fatale Starletta sets out on a quest against her childhood fear. This short fashion film is inspired by MaryMe & JimmyPaul.
