On Wednesday 29 June AMFI organised a successful 6th edition of the Transit graduation event at the World Fashion Centre in Amsterdam. More than a thousand visitors attended the catwalk shows and exhibition. This year the catwalk showed the collections of 17 graduates from the Fashion & Design department. Prior to the graduation show, the work of four 3rd year students of the 3D virtual prototyping programme with Lectra was presented on the catwalk. These outfits showed the great possibilities of how software and the creativity of designers can work together.
The final products of all three departments were presented at the exhibition. For example, forecasting and collection books, brand manuals, production and business strategies, textile innovation and retail concepts. The diversity of products offered visitors an environment full of inspiration.
ANT fashion magazine and the ANT yearbook were also launched during AMFI Transit. This magazine was entirely created, produced and designed by a group of 32 fashion students. ANT is the absurd celebration of creative passion, featuring the pleasantly obsessed.
