What is the difference between the three Graduation Specialisations?
Management provides broad career opportunities within many areas of fashion management. You will learn about marketing, supply chain management, sourcing and international business. This enables you to fulfil many roles relating to developing, producing and marketing the fashion product. The theory, research and practice you learn, are the pillars for developing knowledge in for technical design, product development and range planning.
Branding teaches you brand strategies such as brand creation, brand extension and brand communication. You learn how to do consumer and market research, analyse and create brand concepts, and execute branding strategies in a conscious manner. In Branding, you develop a brand concept or extension and communicate about the fashion product and brand narratives.
Design teaches you about design, construction and materials, as the core pillars. This includes skills such as pattern drawing, moulage, and how to actualise your concepts and designs. Therefore, in Design you research, create and make the fashion product within a clear fashion industry context.
Why does AMFI have a selection procedure?
The selection procedure serves two purposes. Firstly, it is in a student’s own interest to be admitted only to a course and specialisation for which they possess the necessary qualities. Secondly, AMFI needs also to support its own quality levels and aims. Your talents and aptitudes are considered very carefully and this selection procedure is designed to ensure a match.
How should I apply to study at AMFI?
Submit your enrolment request via Studielink. Be aware that AMFI employs a ”numerus fixus” and a selection process. Application for admission to AMFI for the study year beginning September 2025 closes in Studielink on 15 January 2025. Once your request is completed you will receive more information regarding the selection procedure.
Please be aware that a selection by AMFI is not yet a confirmed admission by AUAS.
What does AMFI's selection procedure entail? And when does it start?
As there are more prospective students than study places, AMFI has a limited number of study places (425). Therefore, the programme has a selection procedure. Please find the most recent and relevant information regarding our enrolment and selection on the AUAS website.
Please be aware that a selection by AMFI is not yet a confirmed admission by AUAS.
