AMFI in the news - updates on our social safety

Following the reports about Martijn N. and the ensuing responses, AMFI has launched an investigation into the culture at AMFI. We are taking responsibility and immediate action to learn and improve. Our trajectory includes but is not limited to:

-Investigating, we hired the independent investigation agency Bezemer & Schubad.
-Listening, to former and current students and employees, in one-on-one conversations with the agency or a counselor, in student panels, in team meetings, with moderators, counselors, team and management.
-Learning, from past stories and mistakes, from current circumstances, from the voices of our (former) students and teachers and from external advisors.
-Preventing, embedding a code of conduct, implementing policies that serve to protect students and teacher and create awareness of everyone’s responsibilities as well as roles, taking action when alerted to potential abusive conduct
-Adapting, implementing sustainable and long-term changes in our culture and curriculum, to become the safe learning environment we aim to be.
-Sharing, as we understand that we are part of the creative and fashion industry, in the future we will share our findings and trajectory with other institutions that strive to adapt to the new standards of fashion.
